We understand this can seem harsh, but in order to ensure we are able to keep on track of bugs other serious issues it is vital our issue tracker is kept organised. The kinds of suggestions that will get close and directed elsewhere include, but are not limited to: - Anything that suggests adding new content - Anything that is focused around changing lore - Anything that will take a significant amount of time to implement - Anything that isn't specific and actionable change about existing content, as the template specifies Please know that this isn't out of any disrespect for the ideas you might have for the mod, and encourage people with a passion to get involved either on the subreddit, the discord or even via joining the team itself. But that being said, suggestions that don't match this template will be closed.

Quick questions HOI4 version: v.1.10.8 Kaiserreich version: 1.9.2

Describe the specific change you would like:

  1. Upon completing either 'Officer's Curriculum' or 'Unity Through Service', whichever National Spirit (New Model Army or Chinese People's Army respectively) replaces Disunited Military could be merged with 'Sichuan Provincial Army' and 'Irregular Tactics' into a single National Spirit, 'The New Guofangjun'.

The following would occur upon completion of the 'A New China' focus in the Sichuan Federalist pre-unification tree:

  1. The National Spirits 'Land to the Tiller', 'A Province Free from Opium' and 'Agricultural Heartland' could be merged into one national spirit, perhaps labeled 'Sichuanese Model Agriculture'

  1. The National Spirits 'Decentralisation' could be merged with 'Civilian Dominance' into 'Sichuanese Model Governance'

  1. The National Spirits 'Federal Financial System,' and 'Commercial Expansion' could be merged into 'Federalist Model Finance'

20211107212002_1 20211107212009_1

  1. The National Spirit 'Industrial Planning Committee' could be merged into either 'Decentralised Economic Development' or 'Industrialisation Committee' depending on which focus the player picks.

Explain the reasoning behind this actionable change: The overview screen for post-unification Federalist SZC just gets a bit cluttered from all the different National Spirits. What's nice about the Federalist GXC tree is that there's a focus which merges all Guangdong-related ideas, consolidating them into a single National Spirit for convenience. It would be handy to have that here as well, to make the icons bigger and get rid of some superfluous ones. Merging the various National Spirits would also reflect how the policies applied in Sichuan have transformed it into a model province, and are now being applied on a federal scale.

The Unified Federalist tree is shared with Liangguang, so this merger cannot be done - not easily, at least.

@Alpinia I don’t mean to pressure or demand this change, since I understand it’s far from being a priority and isn’t critical. I also readily admit that I have no experience in coding. However, is it possible to somehow create a separate UPC post-unification tree for SZC that is identical to the one for GXC, except that the focuses merge the National Spirits as I suggested above? You could pull it off that way, though I imagine doing so might make the Kaiserreich file bigger (again, I don’t know anything about coding).

It would require a lot of extra work in maintaining a second copy of the Federalist tree for little gain.
