Explanation of the issue:
During a recent playthrough as the United States, I selected the National Unity Party for the 1936 election and Floyd Olson as the winner of the 1936 election, and then I failed to prevent the Civil War. When the 1940 primary came around, I received a message that Landon had been president through the Civil War and was renominated as the Republican party candidate. This event occurred after the Civil War had been fought and won by the USA. I did not grab a copy of the game log at the time, but I grabbed a screenshot of the event.

Steps to reproduce:
I have not attempted to reproduce this event because it takes so long to occur. Based on the flags in the event chain, it looks like this event could be reproduced by selecting the National Unity Party in 1936, electing Olson, and then failing to prevent the Civil War.

Possible cause:
I've looked at the event code in KR_USA.txt, and it doesn't look like there is a flag that takes the National Unity Party event chain and Olson's presidency into account when determining the 1940 Republican candidate. It only accounts for an Olson presidency where the Civil War is avoided.
