Duplicate state IDs in history/states breaking parts of the map #6205

Quick questions OS: 10 HOI4 version: 1.8.1 Kaiserreich version: 0.10.1 List any other mods used: Were you using Steam? Yes Were you in multiplayer? No Which expansions do you NOT have?

Explanation of the issue: the following state IDs are duplicates in the history/states file and causes map errors in some cases, particularly with 951 South Leon and 951 Salamanca. Duplicate state IDs 70 166 662 693 938 939 940 951 973

Having a very similar issue, where the States 287, 619 & 617 are duplicated several times in the map, including in Canada, Arabia, Nat France, Russia and Brazil.

BackLeak, are you using OCD borders for Kaiserreich? Those screenshots look like my map when I was using that mod. If you are, disable that and the map will lose those weird province locations.

No, but apparently it was from the submod Rose of Texas, so removing it fixed it. Thanks!

@hortanium I'm going to guess that you're using some kind of sub-mod, as those states are NOT duplicated in KR's files - just whatever mix of mods you've made for yourself.

What are the chances of it being a corrupted download then? The first thing I did before reporting was disable every submod. I also opened the KR mod folder, where I found the duplicate IDs that I had been directed to by the error log.

@hortanium always possible; I'd suggest you do a clean install as explained here: https://kaiserreich.fandom.com/wiki/How_to_do_a_Clean_Install

If that doesn't work, time for PDX support I'm afraid. Hope that helps!
