Activation takes place - the number of licenses is 56. but after 1 hour the process stops, and you need to stop the application and run it. reinstalling does not help.

ohyeah521 commented 1 month ago

i had test it for 5 hours ,no crash. please upload you crash log.

log path: /var/log/surveillance

MKatsay commented 1 month ago

ssdevice.log surveillance.log

MKatsay commented 1 month ago

more logs from another server ssdevice.log ssnotification.log

MKatsay commented 1 month ago

at the same time, if you open the application, just a gray background. it does not load further on the desktop.

MKatsay commented 1 month ago

yesterday I stopped the application process after the application broke down at about 16:05 and then did the launch, and at 17 the application broke again

What is your Synology model?

MKatsay commented 1 month ago

XPEnology - DS1819+ XPEnology - RS4021xs+ XPEnology -RS4021xs+ XPEnology - SA3610

Synology - RS4021xs+

It does not matter how the application was installed "through the package center or manually installed". after activating the license, this happens everywhere. I tried updating from the previous version, deleted it completely and installed it again...

TLHD commented 1 month ago

Exactly the same Problem here. Xpenology - SA6400

ohyeah521 commented 1 month ago

1、uninstall 2、set host. https://github.com/ohyeah521/Surveillance-Station/edit/main/README.md 3、reinstall

MKatsay commented 1 month ago

Thank you, I did it, I will test it, I will write according to the result

I can confirm patch for DSM 9.2.0_11289 is running well on my DS1522+ since 3 days. Make sure to edit Synology's /etc/hosts-file accordingly before installation. Heaps of thanks to @MKatsay 🙏

AmmokPT commented 1 month ago

@koira are you sure is not rebooting after 1h ? Are you using Xpenology ? Because I'm using the DS920+

koira commented 1 month ago

Yes, I am sure. It is not rebooting after one hour and the licenses remain in place. Installed on an original Synology DS1522+.

@koira so did you edited the hosts file ? Do you know how to do it, I don't know how..

koira commented 1 month ago

You have to edit the host-file, otherwise it will reboot after one hour and loose the licenses...

You can either edit the hosts-file with vi or nano from the SSH-terminal or you can log into shell via ssh and execute the line that is described here under "block license check": https://github.com/ohyeah521/Surveillance-Station

Hope this helps.

echo "0.0.0.0 synosurveillance.synology.com" | sudo tee -a /etc/hosts

doubt, this command could be executed from a script of the scheduled tasks tool in the same way as the other command is executed?

I don't know if running it in the same script or in a separate one... is it possible?

Aqua405 commented 1 month ago

Tell me, did I enter the command correctly?

Hi, made everything same as recommended but still crashing every hour. I configured a scheduled task to reapply patch every hour.

Update : The scheduled task is not working, reverted back to 9.1.2

MKatsay commented 1 month ago

Hi, I tested it again, now the result is the following: every hour the service just stops and starts again. Unfortunately, this is not convenient for monitoring. but in general, the license works and helps. But for those who are critical, continuous recording or recording is very important - they will lose 10 seconds every hour.

MKatsay commented 4 weeks ago

your repository has been deleted, you can share the archive with instructions on how to get licenses, you can directly by email mkatsay@gmail.com

mrli868 commented 4 weeks ago

I have blocked the synosurveillance.synology.com in host, but Surbeillance Station still still stop and start every hour. any one solved it?

Alikerks commented 4 weeks ago

Am I the only one who doesn't stop? It works fine for me without stopping Could it be because of the firewall settings?

Could you please provide more information about your firewall settings ? Did you block domain synosurveillance.synology.com in the DSM firewall ?
