Nice project. There is another problem. I am testing this in iPhone 6 simulator.

Launch app
keyboard showsup
Do Hardware Rotate left (keyboard is in the middle of the screen)
Do Hardware Rotate left (keyboard is in the middle of the screen again)
Do Hardware Rotate left (keyboard fits perfectly)
Do Hardware Rotate left (keyboard never comes back again)

This appears to happen to the default keyboard as well. Since I don't own an iPhone 6 to test with, I'm going to assume it's either a simulator bug or an iOS 8 bug.
