2.2.1 not responding #154

It seems as though with the latest update to 2.2.1, the app does not respond to 
any commands issues from the IM chat box.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start GTalkSMS
2. Type any command or "?" in chat box to gmail account
3. No response from phone

I have reverted back to the APK provided at the bottom of this thread and 
everything works fine: http://code.google.com/p/gtalksms/issues/detail?id=124

I also noticed, that when I started the 2.2.1 version, my online contacts would 
flash on and then off.  Almost like it wasn't seeing that they were on 
anymore...However, all works fine in 2.0

Additional informations:
GTalkSMS version = 2.2.1
Android OS version = 2.2.1
Phone model = DroidX

IMPORTANT: An app log will help us greatly to analyze the problem.

I somehow have the suspicion that issue 152/153 and this issue relate together. 
What we would need to debug this is an app log. Without my hands are tied :(

If you want to help diagnose the issue, update to the latest version, enable 
debug log, do some tests and send us the log.

Having the same issue, GTalkSMS version 2.2.1 and Android OS leaked version 
2.3.3 on DroidX. Submitted debug log per instructions.

@james: install 2.2.2, this should fix your problem. report back if it's still 
not working.

Tested a few commands quickly, all seem to be working after 2.2.2 update.
