consent lifecycle #7

Open TomCJones opened 4 years ago

TomCJones commented 4 years ago

Relate the flow of consent from the patient to the source of PHI. Show the 6 categories of data from the TEFCA document and describe the time limits on consent. Determine if there is an explicit or implicit duration of consent from the TEFCA, or propose a default value (for example, patient consent will last for a period of one year unless a different time is entered by the patient.)

This was added after review of CARIN code of conduct draft with Jim K

This item is deferred until a list of data categories is available that a patient can understand. Jim will supply the current FHIR standard.

If the Cures Act is activated (currently under consideration by OMB) as ONC has requested and detailed in their TEFCA document, the consent function will need an enhance taxonomy that will need to interface with the enriched United Sates Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI).
