I didn't include specifics for setting up ruby/jekyll. Instead I added a link to the official docs—best to keep all that in one official place.
I wanted to clean up some instructions and build settings. I've also updated all dependencies to their latest revisions. This will close any security issues relating to https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2018-17567
