ComicInfo.xml don't read by Kavita 0.7.1.4 #1896

I use Windows 10 and Opera lasted version.

After update to Kavita 0.7.14, kavida don't read the ComicInfo.xml from cbz files. Before this update, kavita read all info from ComicInfo.xml an this see on the Kavita page.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to the folder on you have the comic/manga.
  2. Update the ComicInfo.xml
  3. Go to Kavita and update the folder of the comic/manga.
  4. If you have a info previously, the info don't change.
  5. If you have a new comic/manga and create or update a folder container, the files are update un kavita, but the info from ComicInfo.xml don't update nothing, Kavita don't have any.

Can you check if there are any other series in your library that might be conflicting and overriding this one? When you do a Scan Series, do you see anything in your logs?

Now, add on, Who is Joseph?, the log say "C:\Users\josep\Documents..." but this not my user, the kavita stay on C:\, since I use Kavita, ever stay on C:\Kavita, not into a user profile.

Any programer Some Kavita programmer left his user inside the code? apparently the database is locked, why?

So database is locked can be solved by using WAL mode on your DB. It being locked is usually some contention issue with your setup.

You can run this on your SQL DB to remove the issue: PRAGMA journal_mode=WAL;

This implies that Kavita was trying to write data to the DB but the file was locked by the OS for some reason. This is an issue a few users see (I haven't seen it on my setup) and I have confirmation from one that switching to WAL works. Kavita is already ready to handle WAL mode for backups.
