Installation fails on Windows 11 on Parallels (x64 not recognized) #59

Installation of TSE seems not possible on windows 11 Home emulated on Parallels. The (strange) error message that shows up when I launch the installer states:

"This program can be only installed on version of windows designed for x64 CPU architecture"

...that should be exactly my case 🤔

Those are my system data, hopping will be useful for the identification and resolution of the problem I'm facing:

Parallels Desktop v18.1.0 (53311)
Windows 11 Home
Vers.: 22H2
Build: 22621.525
Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22634.1000.0
Processor: Apple Silicon 3.20 GHz (4 processori)
RAM: 6,00 GB
System type: 64 bit, ARM based processor

Thanks in advice

You installed the arm version of windows (meaning that I'm not even sure what you'd think to be emulating), the problem seems pretty evident.

I'm not sure about what you mean. Windows 11 should give me the ability to run x64 Windows software on Arm devices properly, as stated on product infos. This possibility should be the main scope of using parallels to run .exe on modern OS — otherwise it loses half of its usefulness, I think. I'm probably missing something here. May you help me to better understand this?

If windows detects you are an arm processor, then it's that to do the emulation (if any) not parallels. With this said, there's probably some idiot ball like in https://github.com/KarlitosVII/trilogy-save-editor/issues/20
