I have set up a PPTP profile on PreVPNc.

When I hit CONNECT, the STATUS says FAILED.

In the log is the message "prevpnc chroot: cannot execute /usr/sbin/pppd: no
such file".

How did you install PreVPNc? It seems that post-installation script was not
executed.

I installed PreVPNc by
1. downloading the .ipk file form the web site.
2. Putting the Pre into Developer Mode
3. Installing it using QuickInstall v4.04on my PC.

Should I uninstall it and reinstall again?

Yes, uninstall it and install again. You have to enable run post-installation
scripts in QuickInstall

see this screenshot for more informations:

thanks,

it seems the version of QuickInstall 4.04 does not have the post-install script
run option. The only options available in this version is to set language.

I have downgraded QuickInstall back to v3.14, which has the post-install script
option as you show in the screenshot, and reinstalled PreVPNc.

Will see how it goes now.

This is weird... Do you try restart java or whole phone? Do you have files
these files on your phone?

/usr/share/dbus-1/system-services/cz.karry.vpnc.service
/usr/lib/luna/java/VpnService.jar
/etc/event.d/cz.karry.vpnc

Try run this command and post here result...

luna-send -n 1 luna://cz.karry.vpnc/status '{}'

Hi, a restart of the phone fixed the problem, and after setting the routing
correctly it works perfectly. thanks. I really needed an app like this. much
appreciated.
