This custom component for Home Assistant will add crucial features to your climate-controlling TRV (Thermostatic Radiator Valves) to save you the work of creating automations to make it smart. It combines a room-temperature sensor, window/door sensors, weather forecasts, or an ambient temperature probe to decide when it should call for heat and automatically calibrate your TRVs to fix the imprecise measurements taken in the radiator's vicinity.
I'm using better thermostat with great success, but I have a room where I obtain a strange behavior. Now during summer the group thermostat is switching to heating and I cannot gat the reason.
Some facts:
it is the living room with 2 windows and 3 heaters. the windows are a group and the temperature is a template sensor (average of all 3 TVR [Tado]). Outside temperature is forecast from Met.no. The settings for the TVR are "Target Temperature Based"calibration and the Calibration mode is set to "AI Time Based". Everything else is unchecked.
What I could figure out so far:
it seems to be triggered by the outside temperature. The "The outdoor temperature when the thermostat turn off" is set to 15°C and when the temperature drops below, it seems to switch.
it also seems to happen if the windows are open
I try now to change the offset for the outside temperature and the windows open/close to see what is needed to trigger.
Could it be, that a weird combination of window open sensor and dropping outside temperature is causing the effect?
when the switch happened on the picture the windows were still open and when I closed them indeed the TVR switched to 23°C and started heating (in summer...)
