KartoffelToby / better_thermostat

This custom component for Home Assistant will add crucial features to your climate-controlling TRV (Thermostatic Radiator Valves) to save you the work of creating automations to make it smart. It combines a room-temperature sensor, window/door sensors, weather forecasts, or an ambient temperature probe to decide when it should call for heat and automatically calibrate your TRVs to fix the imprecise measurements taken in the radiator's vicinity.

Better thermostat for better Heatpump control #1149

I am running heat-pump which configured to be controlled by compensating outlet temperature by outdoor condition's. As for end user it's allows to shift current set-point by -5 / +5 degrees. It would be best enhancement if better thermostat could control that shift by room temperature sensor, and temperature set point in better thermostat. So if in room is too hot, it could shift from 0 to -5 by 5 steps, depending how it's too hot from set-point.. For too cold, it could be in opposite direction (0 - +5)

Best could be if temperature/steps could be user configurable. Or it could be preset-ed.. For example if it's, too hot by 0.5deg, thermostat should set -1deg sifht. If it's to hot by 2deg, it could switch to -4 shift. for too cold would be in opposite steps. Windows open sensor could directly switch it to -5deg.

Hi there. I have the same issue, so I made a workaround. I have setup intermediate thermostat. So, the BT controls intermediate thermostat, and the intermediate controls the heatpump. I that way, I setup virtual switch on intermediate thermostat which shift temp +3/-3 instead of switching heatpump on/off
