KartoffelToby / better_thermostat

This custom component for Home Assistant will add crucial features to your climate-controlling TRV (Thermostatic Radiator Valves) to save you the work of creating automations to make it smart. It combines a room-temperature sensor, window/door sensors, weather forecasts, or an ambient temperature probe to decide when it should call for heat and automatically calibrate your TRVs to fix the imprecise measurements taken in the radiator's vicinity.

Unavailable BT Entity after beta 37 #594

Closed auanasgheps closed 1 year ago

auanasgheps commented 1 year ago

Prerequisites

Description

After updating from beta 35 to 37 I had to re-add my 4 valves. Well, 3 of them added fine, the 4° shows unavailable no matter what I do. I tried renaming it or re-adding it multiple times but nothing helps.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add BT Integration
  2. Complete the process
  3. Open the device
  4. Observe it's unavailable

immagine

Expected behavior:

I should see the entity populated.

Actual behavior:

The entity is "unavailable"

Versions

Additional Information

The only logs in HA are:

2022-11-12 00:02:07.732 WARNING (MainThread) [custom_components.better_thermostat.climate] better_thermostat Studio Riscaldamento: No previously hvac mode found on startup, turn heat off

EDIT: Made a reboot just for fun and the entities slowly became available. One is missing, but it's a different entity.

Something has definitely changed since loading before was different. Am I missing something here?

Unavailable can come from other sensors like: external temperature/humidity Check if all are ok first 😉

Same issue here.

Today after I woke up all my BT entities are now available. That's good. Would be nice to see in the logs what device is "not there" according to BT. All my external sensors were showing correctly though.
