Dr. Anderson would like our group to have a rough draft of our report and presentation for Monday, December 4th. I was thinking we could each just write-up a brief summary of what each of us did and then make a few slides summarizing what we wrote. Dr. Anderson said we may use powerpoint to make the slides even though she'd prefer the slides made via R Markdown. But I'm open to hear what each of you think as well.

From Slide Deck About Project: Each group will need to generate:

  1. The code for their piece of the project (we’ll use GitHub to collaborate).
  2. A brief report (4 to 5 pages) describing how the group tackled their problem, what pieces were particularly challenging and how they tackled those, what they would do differently if they started fresh, and what interesting things they found in this set of data. Each group must submit a draft of this the last Wednesday of class and submit the final version on the day of presentations.
  3. A presentation (12 minutes maximum) that covers the same material as the report. The groups will present these during finals week, in the time period scheduled for a final exam for our course.

I think we could do a draft of the report for Monday. Each of us could write up about a page (since we need 4-5) with the elements described in 2 above. For the final report, we could easily combine all of our sections that we write for Monday and make it flow.

Please send me your one-pager by Sunday, and I can write up the draft for Monday.

@bkim7690 @eholbrook @lvanzyl Thanks for sending along/updating the draft, y'all! I just sent Dr. Anderson the draft of our report and a draft of a presentation I started. The draft is labeled as Group_1_Report_Draft.Rmd, and the presentation is labeled as Shiny_Presentation.Rmd. Feel free to add/edit where you see fit.
