I received my first Kauf bulb hoping to update my Tasmota system. I was hoping it would be as easy to integrate Kauf as it was Tasmota without having to update the firmware.

Each time I tried to connect the bulb to the router it would fail and then reappear in the available network list. I tried many, many times with a Firefox and Vivaldi (chrome) browser but it would never connect. So I tried to load the Tasmota 13.0.0.1 firmware which also failed the first number of attempts with both browsers, and then finally returned as successful with the Vivaldi browser.

I again opened the available networks but no new networks ever appeared. After waiting about 10 minutes with no success I setup up the initial_ap hotspot but the bulb never connected. After waiting about another 15 minutes I tried to power cycle the bulb in hopes it would reset but no response, the bulb never would light during the recycling, or at any other time.

So on my first use of a Kauf bulb it failed to connect to a network, failed to upload firmware, and bricked when the firmware upload finally reported as successful. Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong? Is there any way possible to reset the bulb at this point?

Hey, sorry. I"m a one man shop and busy with my day job. I just got back from vacation yesterday. I would recommend returning through Amazon.com or if that is not available you can email me for a replacement. Sounds like maybe a hardware fault causing the wifi to not work properly, or maybe a bad flash with Tasmota.
