Images are slow to load #126

Trying to load a live map is very slow first time (when not cached). Speed this up as it currently can take 30 seconds to get this data loaded. May also be an issue with my router + dns host.

Still an issue - just tried from work and it still takes 20 seconds to load the map non-cached.
