What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Variables : Data Type

Robert Williams suggests that we have a drop down menu for each variable to
allow the data type to be changed. This will cause a variable to be
transformed, perhaps just when it is used, rather than permanently. Has
impact also on scoring data sets.

Transformation tabs now provide that functionality.

I don't see that working. Where is the drop down function in transformation tab?
I want to change a input data type from numeric to categorical. But no luck!

The interface style changed and this feature was reverted.

To confer Numeric to Categoric, go to Transform Tab, select Recode, select 
variable(s) to recode, choose As Categoric, click Execute.
