This is something that can easily be looked up online. This is too much detail to include in our user guide, but here is the RFC for the format of the email address for your reference: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5322#section-3.4.1
Most people, especially financial advisors, have access to and know of what an email is. We have also included an example of a valid email in the same section.
We feel like the inclusion of the entire details of the RFC will not be in the scope of v1.4.

In the UG the email format is stated as "Must follow the standard email address format". However, there is no further explanation about what the "standard email address format" is. This might confuse the user when they try to add contacts into the app.
