A large red x appears over our area. #168

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Browsing the latest download of google earth.app 
2. focus on Race ROcks in the Strait of Juan de Fuca between Southern Vancouver 
ISalnd and the 
Olympic Penninsula
3. Using Safari or Firefox on a Mac mii with version 10.5.6

What is the expected output or behavior? What do you see instead?
I used to be able to see this area clearly and it has a lot of my panoramio 
pictures that were 
already accepted to Google Earth, now few show , the area is greyed out

Which plugin version are you using?
latest download

Which browsers and operating systems are affected?

Please provide any additional information (code snippets/links) below.

Hi,

You probably have a KML file open in your 'Places' panel on the left.

Also, this isn't related to the Google Earth Plugin (which is what this issue 
tracker
is for). For Earth questions, please check:

Forgot to mention, try unchecking everything in your Places panel and then 
gradually
turning things on until you find the KML file containing the X. By the way, the 
X is
simply an image overlay (<GroundOverlay> in KML) that couldn't load.
