Thanks for the file. What is UMA? Not familiar with this. I would guess that the skinned mesh renderer is the problem. IIRC, I only set it up for mesh renderer.
UMA is a really cool character system that lets you morph models. :D Oh, do you plan on making it work for skinned meshes too?

skinned meshes now export thanks to the hard work of other people. Try it and see if it works!
I have a prefab that was made from a UMA avatar. This prefab has a root, along with all body parts. It also has a skinned mesh renderer. When I try to export this prefab, I don't get anything but a mostly empty FBX file. I've included my prefab. I hope you'll be able to see the mesh. Would you mind seeing if you can figure out how to export it to fbx? MaleRoguePlayer_2.zip
