Issues using climate complication

I setup a watch face with three complications (Climate, Frunk, Trunk) and one main large one of the vehicle to tap into the app. One of the most used features I use with the Model Y is starting climate before going for a drive. I have the following two features enabled:

• Background Updates
• Allow wake in background (06:00 - 23:00, interval 1 hr)

However, every single time I go to use the climate complication on the watch face it never works automatically and queues the command. I have to then wait for the car to wake up within the app and then press the climate once again and wait for physical confirmation vibrate which is what I always did with the official Tesla app.

1. I press the climate on complication
2. It asks to confirm, once in the "Watch App"
3. It never sends the Climate to the car
4. I wait for the car to wake
5. Then re-press the climate to then activate it

Setting Allow wake in background sometimes resolve the complication of not being up to date. But occasionally it will still be stuck still on after the car being off for hours.

This basically defeats the purpose of the complication without having to go into the app and wake the car. Am I missing something here? Have others found this same experience?

I ended up turning off allow wake in background and accepting that this won't function reliably like I hoped. Will continue to wait for the app to load before executing climate functionality

Fwiw - Anyone coming across this:

Tesla has integrated "Shortcuts" for the main Tesla iOS app. I've been using their shortcut instead on the watch to start climate without needing to go over and "wakeup" the car first. Has always worked 100% of the time.
