Website update required #20

Dear Mr. Thompson, Hi Ken,

First compliments on the great project you delivered. I'm now investigation how to best use it to show images, video and other for my mother in law in care home.

One item I saw on the website - home page is that the last alinea is not in line with the downloads page... It is still refering to the previous versions... or at least, that is how I read it. May I suggest you remove that page and only add a referal to the downlaod page/ Github...

P.S.: I may be filing some feature requests as I missing functions for:

easy to load full folder content (with images) into a show;
easy overview of images allowing to re-order and set timing;
easy remote update whilst not storing images/video on public server/services
using Google Drive or Photo as storage for the images/video

Yes, website is out of date, I'll change it.

The main intended use of PP is curated shows for museums. You may find a more general purpose slideshow program more suitable.

easy to load full folder content (with images) into a show; In the editor track>Add Dir

easy overview of images allowing to re-order and set timing; I run PP in a terminal window and the editor in another to do this.

easy remote update whilst not storing images/video on public server/services I would use RealVNC to access the Pi remotely.

using Google Drive or Photo as storage for the images/video I thnk you might be better off with a more mainstream digital signage solution
