Sort out by Views and Category [JAVASCRPT] #7

On hover of text - "Total Views" put a small icon/button that if tapped, will sort the list by the person who got the least amount of views, to the most amount of views, from the list.

I can do this by both using library and By coding JS in classical way as we do? You can let me have this one

@KendallDoesCoding to take the view I need the API key for which for me it's not possible to share my Private API key🤷‍♂️ so I don't think any another way to solve this? well not in my knowledge.

I was trying to use google's Youtube Data API v3

Bro. The views is on the website in the lqst column we just needed to sort out in order by views.

Eg: 5 million 2 million

The 2 million as to come on top. This issue doesnt need any API just JS code.

@KendallDoesCoding - Hey, just a doubt about the sorting issue as most of the details are in .html file, it might be hard to pull and sort those. If you got any tips on how to do it would love to know. PS - would be good if we create an array of the details for better usability.

Why this codebase doesn't contain a ".html" file?

Hi @CodeWithPrajjwal We are using the ejs template in Express to generate dynamic HTML content, so we don't have .html files, but in public folder, you can see .ejs files.

I think we can use the mongoDB inbuilt functions to sort the data based on views or category. @MayankBansal12 - Let me know if you are not working on this, i can work on it Or we can work together.

Hey @Lucifer-zone, your PR #102 has been merged. It does allow sorting based on views however, we need to add sorting for a category. On selecting a specific category name, say Gaming or Tech, all the related entries are shown. Currently sorting is working based on views.

Hi @MayankBansal12 - I have added the sorting on category column too where if we click on category column, values of category get sorted based on lexicographical order. It was working for me. Could you try again by clearing the cache. I will also try once.

I have checked the category sorting too. What I meant was if I click on any category, say Tech or Gaming, then all the items related to that category get listed up...something like that. Currently, it gets sorted based on lexicographic order which is fine.

Oh okay, yeah right, that would be a nice enhancement, but the current scope was to sort the data based on category and views which is complete. We can maybe create a new issue/enhancement to add this functionality
