API methods to interact with the server

• [ ] General methods for making requests
• [ ] Handle errors that can be the results of the user's actions (for example they want to write text to a field that only supports numbers)
• [ ] Handle unexpected errors (for example 500 code). In this case should also ask them to file a bug report.

For errors handling I would say that alerts + console logging will be sufficient, but not totally sure.
