Ordering of authors is a problem. It undervalues middle authors and discourages even collaboration where authors works as a group.
Potential solutions include.
1) Better author attribution e.g. on a forms such as this:
This still leaves problems such as how to cite the work. which could potentially be solved by 2)
2) Submitting as a group (e.g. PSYCOP, 2022) where group consist (in the instance of paper) of a certain number of individuals.
