Horizon, scanning DATs for Mobs #23

Is there a place to set the location of my installation? When clicking "Spawn Alert Filter" i get an error saying "No mobs were loaded. ApRadar checked the following path for your FFXI Installation: " no path is defined or i would just move files there.

KenshiDRK commented 1 year ago

for that you will need to create the registry entries and point to the location of the horizon installer.

Is there any guide or info on what entries to create? Not exactly sure what the entries need to look like.

im having the same issue where can i direct files to see horizonxi

KenshiDRK commented 1 year ago

probably easier way is to install retail and then modify the directories in windows registry to where horizon is.

Could you explain how you would do this further/better please? That sentence is very confusing to me. Loved the dat scanning feature, and thanks for keeping this alive!

KenshiDRK commented 1 year ago

I can't do a detailed explanation but its installing the game or adding the registry entries and then pointing to the directory the horizon ffxi is installed Captura de pantalla 2023-06-15 161542 those entries need to be changed to where the horizon install is

These same 64 entries is all i can find after pointing to the horizon files and using the Scan feature. I have also tried pointing to the individual ROM folders with no success. Do you have any other ideas on how to get this feature fully working on said private server?

I will say after pointing the directories to what you suggested, other features started working like the Spawn alert filter list

the database already have mobs on it, so if it is scanning the files and only finding those then it should have the other ones.

HH3575 commented 3 weeks ago

If i click "Add Mobs" it doesnt find any new DATs loaded after this. Could this be horizon handling the dat loading differently to what ApRadar is used to?

KenshiDRK commented 3 weeks ago

what do you mean with "it doesnt find any new DATs loaded", it should have scanned all the dats that contains mob lists that are added here https://github.com/KenshiDRK/ApRadar/blob/master/FFXIMemory/Data/ZoneList.xml. After Adding the mobs it shouldn't find more mobs cause they already are in the database.
