Considering being specific about "a small workshop" by saying "Space is limited to < 100 participants".

I still see some suggestions above that were not addressed:

[ ] thousands of targets => half a million targets
[ ] "Registration will be available free of charge, apart from a small fee to be paid by cash or check on site. " -> can't be both free and small fee.
[ ] "final date to register for a talk will be December 15, 2017." -> maybe make this earlier?

Okay, NOW I have made the changes. However, I have a question regarding organizing the science. Should we do blocks of talks by topic, or mix up the subject matter semi-randomly? (I will repeat this on slack.)

Thank you @amcody and @gully, I'm really happy with how this looks! I changed a few minor things above and added links from the front page and the "conferences" page. I'm going to merge this now and make it live. Good job!!
