With the new gnome in prerelease it would be great to have the shell extension supported

Adding '46' to metadata.json worked for me with GNOME Shell 46 Beta

Yes this is what I have locally too. I have unfinished changes locally that I want to push before issuing a release but I can accept a PR adding just that in the meantime
