Evaluate: Migrate testbench code to verilator? #19

iverilog and vvp are great for rapid turn-around, but verilator found numerous bugs with nothing but its linter.

Something to consider. Doesn't have to be done right away.

It's been too long since I wrote this issue. I'll reopen if it becomes pertinent again.
