The same applies to the side panel. If the Bing side panel pulls from a non-indie wiki, that link is not replaced.
In both cases, I do not think it would be appropriate to hide the panel, even when using the "Hide non-indie results" mode, as these are not actually search results, but rather additional components of the search page.
In "Hide non-indie results" mode, my inclination is it makes the most sense to just take no action on these panels. If users wanted links in those panels replaced, they would use the other mode. But they likely don't want to have entire features of the search engine hidden just because the information is sourced from non-indie wikis.
On Bing, there is often a top card featuring one specific site prominently. For many searches, this will be a non-indie wiki. However, Indie Wiki Buddy does not currently touch this card (although it will still replace regular results).
