Have you checked these rates for accuracy yet?
It doesn't look like night-time passage should be that high for the DART data I quickly checked.
OK, the issue is that somewhere around the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019, the DART query "queryPiTtagData()" stops returning a value for the WindowCountHours, and the Period, which used to indicate if a fish crossed during the day (D) or night (N). STADEM summarizes day-time passage by looking for the number of tags when Period == D, so if that data is all NA, we get no or very few tags that appear to cross during the day.
For steelhead in 2019, the Period becomes NA after Nov 18, 2018.
Ryan, do you have time to get in touch with Susannah and figure out why that data looks different?
Susannah updated the DART query, and the results look much more reasonable. I'm going to mark it closed.
Figure 4 shows some very high nighttime passage rates for Chinook in 2019 (11 weeks above 75%, with some around 95%). There are also 3 weeks for steelhead above 80%.
We should double check the DART queries for that data, make sure it's accurate.
