[Feature Request] Add an event manager

It would be nice if when the plugin detects a disallowed character returns an error event or similar to display a message to the user if you're using in a password input you don't see if your typed character it's blocked.

I'd like to display a message if the character they are typing is not allowed, rather than look like their keyboard is not working!
