tint2 prevents applications from starting #326

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.dualhead setup in openbox (3360x1050)
2.open tint2 (panel_monitor all)
3.try to open applications
4.kill tint2

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected:
One panel in each monitor. Being able to start applications.
instead:
The panel on the left monitor gets only drawn up to halfway into the clock
display without the network/volume buttons.
The panel on the right monitor gets fully drawn but the network/volume buttons
flicker.
I am unable to launch any new applications.
After tint2 is killed the previously launched applications pop up.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.11~svn610-1 on crunchbang linux (r20110105)

Please provide any additional information below.
Second monitor activated with xrandr --output VGA-0 --auto --left-of DVI-0
panel_monitor = 2 and panel_monitor = 1 work flawlessly

attached:
tint2rc
A screenshot showing the panel situation described above (flickering is of
course not captured in the shot)

Revision 618 should have fixed that problem. But this was on 28th of december,
so your version seems newer (but I don't know how crunchbang packages it stuff)
Can you post the output of 'tint2 --version'

awesome...
this information is of no use for me :P
but I guess 0.11~svn610-1 means svn revision 610. As stated already it was
fixed in r618. So tell crunchbang to update their package, or compile yourself
from the svn sources.

And if you ask for an update at crunchbang, please tell them not to cut the
revision number of the tint2 version. Because 0.11-svn is of no use. It just
tells me that it's sth after the release of 0.11 and the current status in svn,
but not what the exact revision is.
