I'd like to propose an option to make launchers act like taskbar items, the way 
it's done in Unity, Docky, etc. I.e. when the launcher is clicked, the program 
doesn't create new entry in taskbar, but rather indicates its running status in 
the launcher itself.

I use tint2 without text labels and that feature would help avoid duplicate 
icons both in launcher and taskbar.

This feature is useful when used with text labels, too.

In Windows 7 one can set the taskbar to show "small icons" (with labels). Then 
it looks like in the pictures attached.

With a priority on this as medium, does that mean it has been accepted?

I would really like to see the launchers have the same options as the task, re 
toggle and iconify
