I think it would actually be better to keep them as separate applications. Such
launchers normally open a popup window anyways, so why would they interact with
tint2 at all? They are supposed to be provided by the Desktop Environment, not
the panel. For example I use tint2 with XFCE, where the XFCE launcher is
independent from the panel; it works just fine.
