Enhacement request: Scheduling Framework - Drag and Drop from Other Source #53

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Built in functionality to allow dragging and dropping from another source
would be excellent. This feature should allow the developer to let users
drag and drop from lists, trees, grids and other components directly onto
the calendar.

Schedule entries must implement IScheduleEntry. Any idea of how to wrap a drag
source
using this interface? IE: what if the drag source has no concept of start date
/ end
date, what's the default behavior?

see:

IScheduleEntry.html

I'm not sure whether these have already been covered in this request. I'd love
to be
able to do the following using the Scheduling Framework:

1. Update a schedule entry by resizing it - updating the start date / end date?
2. Moving a schedule entry to another row - with the same or different start
date /
end date?
3. Moving a schedule entry to the same row - but with a different start date /
end date?

All via drag and drop. Is this possible?

Is there a time frame with this feature? Any way I could help? I am working on
these exact features for an
internal business application, and would hate to duplicate efforts.

Feel free to submit any improvements - I am not working on this project at this
time.
