Sharing a video on facebook #88

Tried sharing a video.. Window didn't let me enter a message to post alongside

What happened? Did the keyboard appear or not? Twitter or Facebook? (Edit: I see you specified Facebook.)

Keyboard appears but doesn't acknowledge my typing. the link itself did get posted, minus any message.

Twitter's working fine for posting links and editing tweets..

I can't reproduce this. What version of iOS are you using? What device? What orientation (portrait/landscape)?

Version 4.2.1. It doesn't get synced with iTunes much. Orientation is landscape.

Reproduced. I suspect this is Facebook's fault.

i'm trying it out right now on jason's ipad1 -- pressing the share button doesn't bring up anything for me to choose twitter/fb

edit: closing completely from task tray, it pops up for me now, though when i rotate to portrait mode the pointy thingie is on top of "download" and not "share"

edit2: and if i start out in portrait, tap share, and then rotate to landscape, the pointy is centered above the subtitles

@marcia That is a separate issue. Opened a new issue #92 to investigate.

Is this just something that we have to deal with with slightly older versions of iOS? Worth hunting down?

No, it's definitely reproducible with iOS 4.3. It seems to be a Facebook javascript bug though--text events seem to be processed just fine, they just don't show up in the dialog.

Given what a joke the Facebook SDK is, I'm betting it's their bug. I've seen them break several other things and eventually fix them too.
