This may not be something that we can easily fix -- it might just be a general performance issue with the iPad :(

That’s definitely possible, and I think is OK. A lot of us have expectations of desktop performance because that’s how we’re used to PJS working as we currently have it on KA. But most HoC users won’t have those expectations, so I think we’re OK.
