In summary, your submission is great. Good point when displaying the newest articles first.

If you have time, could you try to finish some more optional features because doing the optional stories will improve your chance of getting in.

And below are some suggestions that can improve your blog:

• You should move New Article to your main navigation for better user experiences.
• Currently, your navbar didn't work when resizing the browser.
• You should render the article detail page with RedCarpet too.
• You should not allow users to update/delete the article about yourself.
• Always be cautious with user input, you can use Active Record Validations to validate when adding new article.
• Your searching feature is not working correctly. It showed Movies article when I searched with "demo" (https://radiant-reaches-83151.herokuapp.com/articles?utf8=%E2%9C%93&search=demo&commit=Search#)

• Move 'New Article' to the main navigation

• Apply validation when user adds new article with empty title or body
