ISO26262 requires an application is able return able to show or return (in the case of a library) information to identify itself on request i.e. version number, name, release or debug build.

Accepting as Guideline per teleconference 2016-10-10

ISO 26262 this is a requirement. It should be moved to the Requirements document.
