1. goto a website like apple.com/trailers or nasatv
2. the file is saved to cached
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
a video to be streamed. i see a grey screen flash and then nothing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
gecko-mediaplayer-0.9.8 gnome-mplayer-0.9.8 gentoo-linux kernel-2.6.30-r8

Please provide any additional information below.

Videos work fine here, please test gnome-mplayer first with any local video and
make
sure that works. Running gnome-mplayer with -v from a terminal can help find
issues.

Hi thanks for the quick response, gnome-mplayer plays fine. The only issue I
have
with it is moving the position of scroll bar (fast forwarding) an avi file.

You can't move the scroll bar beyond the cached level, so you can either
increase
your cache or wait until more data is downloaded.

Thank-you, do you have any ideas why I can not play streams from any website
using
the gecko-mediaplayer. I attached a copy of gnome-mplayer -v in my previous
comment.
