My perspective
I don't know why I'm writing this post. I just came across the videos and decided to list them. I guess I am thinking about a change after getting annoyed with my weak MacBook that runs slow and hot.
I have a Windows desktop primarily for gaming and a MacBook for work. I got the MacBook 2 years ago because my workplace provided it. The only alternative was a Lenovo machine which was more powerful but looked a bit dull. I never used MacOS extensively before, so decided to taste the apple.
Granted, there are some nice applications, but as is always the case with Apple, you have to use the device in Apple's way. Certain things that could have been done straightforwardly either require extra workaround, or even are outright impossible. I can tolerate flaws if the product is well-designed, but I just can't stand (or understand) the fact that such an omnipotent company is almost deliberately causing you trouble. In general, I find this Apple Inc. arrogant and pretentious. So it's unlikely that I'll purchase an Apple product in the near future.
For my next working machine, I'll probably try Linux. But this depends on whether I get a regular laptop or a 2-in-1. In the latter case, maybe Windows Subsystem for Linux? Or perhaps I don't even need a laptop anymore -- what about Linux on Android?
PS: As I was writing the list, the lines started to sound like skills and their descriptions in Disco Elysium. That thing really is infectious.
