AirPlay like support #137

AirPlay for iOS is a great thing. But why not take this opportunity to take it?
Even if you charge people for an app to play audio off of that would be
completely fine. Why? Because the average consumer doesn't want to spend money
on something they can only use with limited functionality. I got the Chromecast
so I could play my purchased music from my device to my television. (or so I
was hoping) Only to find out that it not possible. I don't want to have to hack
my Chromecast to get it working or load up my music threw my computers webpage
and the cast that webpage over to my Chromecast... That is an extreme amount of
back break for each song. I understand, yes people will pirate movies and music
and misuse the device. But what did Apple do when people put pirated music on
iDevices? They did nothing, and everyone in the world and there grandma have
iDevices and I'm positive that atleast 75% of them have pirated music and
videos. Do I think its right that people do this? Heck no I don't! But I can
almost guarantee that by adding the ability to just stream media to the
chromecast more and more people would buy them. They would sell faster then
anything, why? because they wouldn't be a paper weight to almost ever american.
Me personally, I do live sound engineering for my school and I would use this
for iTunes control or even VLC player if it supported it. I would connect to a
i.p camera in the school and watch for music cues while I'm busy with something
else. My point is that you limiting your product is only limiting your sales.
Think about what you are doing to your pocket, they might be deep now but you
can make them fatter.

If you are referring to the media items that are on your device and want to
cast them to TV, then you can simply download an app to do that, for example
Avia
(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.videon.android.mediaplayer&hl
=en). Isn't that what you were asking for?
