Use resolution #39

Debateble whther to use step size or step number to determine resolution.

Ive been assuming that for interpolation between layers, the number of steps needs to be constant. However interpolation between paths of different lengths is possible if the first path is equalised to the second and these paths interpolated . This will allow a constant step size

alternatively, post-process the path after layer interpolation to use a step size which matches the path curvature at any point
