Inspired by the conversation in #702.

I’m a little concerned it would make contributions more difficult. A lot of folks are not necessarily very familiar with the whole Node ecosystem, particularly in the accessibility industry. I guess maybe we already burnt that bridge with introducing TypeScript though.
