Multiple e-mail account issues #19

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Creating several configs to monitor email
2. Can only operate one imap, and one pop at a time
3. can not monitor more than one mail account at a time properly
=========================================================================
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I was hoping to monitor up to 4 e-mail accounts.
Modified configs to achieve this goal.
Instead of pop3, must use imap configuration, as pop3 will not allow for
multiple e-mail monitoring.
Imap works fine for one config.

I currently monitor netscape in pop3 and GMX in Imap.

Rainmeter locks when I attempt to add gmail and/or business account e-mail.

Apparently Rainmeter in its current form can not monitor multiple e-mails.

Of course my configs maybe wrong (See Attached).

I also just noticed that if more than one config updates at the same time,
one or the other gets knocked out to zero.

Therefore I can not monitor more than one e-mail at a time.

Hopeful result: to be able to monitor multiple e-mail accounts
=======================================================================
I also would like to see if someone has a walk through on how to get Gmail
monitored through their SSL.

I can not get the Mail3 (for gmail to work at all), apparently the monitor
is being stopped by the gmail security
=========================================================================
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

o.14.1
Vista 32

Please provide any additional information below. If the problem is a
related to some config option attaching a example is always a good idea.
Try to keep it as simple as possible and make sure that it is a fully
working Rainmeter config (i.e. it includes all graphics too).

"MailMeter.dll" plug-in seems to be unofficial plug-in and so you should ask it
about
the author.
Therefore this issue is not defect.

Where did you get that plugin?

I assume that these configs are all in different folders? Rainmeter only loads
one
.ini per folder.

If that isn't the problem then...

If I were you, I would try (not saying this will work) making copies of the .dll
MailMeter2.dll , MailMeter3.dll , etc. Then point each config to a different
.dll.

Let me know if it works.

The skin is HUD Vision, can be found here:

The Dll, is what ever downloaded from the following site:
http://www.ipi.fi/~rainy/legacy.html

Although appears recently removed.
Any updates I have acquired from here!!!
I have never utilized third party upgrades, and there are a few that exist.

I am in the process of creating and referencing the multiple MailMeter.DLL, but
I am
at the moment getting my life put together for surgery tomorrow on my knee, so
it may
be a day or 2 before, I get the chance to try.
As a matter of fact the idea has occurred to me, and I am in the process of
inspecting the DLL to see if there would be any conflict.

So far; the only thing I am seeing is that the mailmeters will be adding more
Dll's,
adding more software, and taking more resources.

Would like to see one dll do it all.
But hey, all things in time.

Correction on the HUD Vision site, it is here:
http://mepu.deviantart.com/art/HUD-Vision-84457514

And yes, I have placed each Ini in it's respective folder. I found out the best
way,
that it will place all the ini's in the same file, only allowing access to one
at a time.

So I learned real fast to create seperate files.

MailMeter.dll is installed by HUD.Vision and is not a core plugin distributed
with
RainMeter. Please contact the MailMeter.dll author for support.

Thank you for supporting Rainmeter,
Brian
