[evmckay] Several 3rd party .dlls are out of date for Vista #22

Atleast I think this is the case.

I've tried a few things to get HUD.Vision to display it properly but the
end result is that I can't get any CPU Temperature readings.

I'm using Rainmeter 0.14 (32-bit) and Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit)
Oh yeah. The CPU is Itel Core 2 Quad 6600. It has 4 individual core temp
sensors.

"CoreTempPlugin.dll" is an unofficial plugin. Therefore, it is not a Issue
which can
receive support here.
Probably, this plugin will be the same as that of a below. So, please read
explanation well, and if required, ask the author directly.

Most frustrating.

as the Yiting site has not been monitored in some time.

I make no promises, as I am not a programmer by any means, but I will take these
dll's and see about updating them.

My first issue is what software do I need to open and modify the code line in a
dll?

Thanks for the reply. I Thought that this was gonna be the case. Still.

evmckay - If nothing else maybe this should give you some insight on .DLLs and
help
you check where the file got its imput from in XP and earlier versions of
Windows,
and how thats diffrent in Vista.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_open_.dll_files_to_see_what_is_written_insi
de

If we can figure that out together, maybe we can make a huge favor to the
comunity
and make a version of the file that will bring in results on Vista. I may have
not
worked with .DLLs before, but I'm a programer by education and I'm not giving
up that
easly.

We have moved the core Rainmeter to MS Visual Studio 2008 C++ Express Edition.
 This
is a free development environment. See the wiki for instructions for building
Rainmeter. That is not specifically for Plug-ins but should get you started.

cod.recoil and brian.todoroff

Thank you both. Now for the fools drop
I just completed reading the recommended wiki, and be damned if I Do not
already have
all the mentioned programs, I use them for creating Visual Styles. Tells you the
limit of my ability. LOL

I am currently tasked with a tutorial I promised a couple of months ago, and I
am
attempting to get the forum running with Rorix and Harris, but I will get on the
trail of these alternate DLL's as soon as I complete the tutorial for another
programmer.

At least I have a direction at this time.

I have set aside my gmail address specifically for Rainmeter until further
notice,
feel free to contact me regarding Rainmeter business at any time.

I can be contacted at;

I was unaware they were third party at the time (LOL)

Although i will take your line and use it, it is much better than the painkiller
induced wording I have been using.

Thanks again

There is a separate issue about the temperature measuring
(http://code.google.com/p/rainmeter/issues/detail?id=15) so I'll close this one.
