In order to start this build, another runtime components needed to be
installed in my system. (Windows XPsp3)

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)

Please keep each issue in a seperate entry so we can track them easier.  I'll 
take on
the "Y as a percentage bug" if you can throw it into another issue.

I added the redistributable to the installer (and it grew quite large) so it
shouldn't be necessary to install it anymore manually.
