Text shadows on STRING meters is something I've missed for years. 

I know a possible workaround would be to add a duplicate meter underneath
and 1px/1px offset to the meter I want shadowed but A) it's a pain to code
and B) it clutters up the config. 

Could this be doable?

I just copy/paste the shadowing code to new items, doesn't take to much effort. 
It
would be handy to do it all in the same meter, but I don't think it's an urgent 
update.

Could you also direct future requests and suggestions to
http://www.rainmeter.net/forum/index.php please. It's our effort to keep the 
issue
board here cleaned from extra posts the devs have to read through, so they can 
spend
more time coding.

Certainly! I just didn't notice there was a (new?) forum. Nice to see 
development
picking up again. :)

And I agree, it's definitely not urgent at all, just a nice feature to have. 

I'll just hurry over to the forums now...
